Learn QuickBasic!

A tutorial by A. Budzynowski

This tutorial is not just for the beginner. I’ve taken a different approach to most tutorials, by trying to explain everything upfront rather than keeping the lid on details. This may not be appropriate for you, and while I don’t expect you to fully understand everything the first time you read it, if you are absolutely lost then perhaps another tutorial would suit you better. Or perhaps programming simply isn’t for you.

If something does confuse you, it might do well to keep going, and come back to it later. You can always send me an email!

My philosophy is more or less like this: remember some, understand more. Because even something you forget strengthens what you do learn.

I’ve organised the tutorial into a short sequence of chapters followed by some more-or-less mutually exclusive topics. Some of the chapters have summary items which you can use as a quick reference after you’ve already learnt how they work.

Some useful stuff:

Although I have tried to make sure the information here is correct, up to date, and accurate, I cannot guarantee it. Send any comments or corrections to my email address. Which is my last name (budzynowski) located at hotmail dot com.
